Union City’s city council will meet Tuesday evening in the Municipal Building courtroom at 5:30 p.m. The agenda includes nominations and/or appointments to the Planning Commission; awarding of tree trimming bids; budget amendments from the Union City Board of Education and an operating budget for the system; authorization to solicit bids for the demolition of buildings at 520 North Home and 460 Harrison streets; authorization appropriations for the purchase of four handheld meter reader devices and associated equipment; appointments to the City Beautiful Commission (one at large and one from Ward 1), Electric Power Board and Obion County Industrial Development Corporation board of directors; a street closing request for July 17 on Church Street; and the minutes of the Planning Commission.
The council will also hear grievances and/or complaints from the public and will receive the Mayor’s report.
The meeting is open to the public.
Public meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
