Miss Palmieri, Bunch to wed in Michigan

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Jessica Marie Palmieri of Novi, Mich., and John Hayes Bunch II of Kansas City, Mo., are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mark and Valerie Palmieri of Novi. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Joan Lelli of Howell, Mich., and Joyce Palmieri and the late Reynolds Palmieri of Madison Heights, Mich.
She graduated with highest academic honors in 2003 from Walled Lake Western High School in Walled Lake, Mich. She was also a member of the National Honor Society.
In 2008, she graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in biology, a bachelor of music degree and a bachelor of musical arts degree. She was also an honors graduate, a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, Pre-Medical Club and Red Cross Club.
She graduated, with high honors, in 2010 from Barry University in Miami, where she received a master of biomedical science degree. While there, she was a member of Biomedical Science Society.
The groom-elect is the son of Linda Bunch and the late John Bunch of Union City. He is the grandson of the late Howard and Sue Trantham of Union City and the late George and Dot Bunch of Samburg.
He is a 1998 graduate of Union City High School.
He graduated summa cum laude in 2002 from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he earned a bachelor of music degree in music education.  He earned the Chancelor’s Award in music and was a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
In 2006, he graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he earned a master of music degree in percussion performance. He was an honors graduate.
He is a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance, where he is working on a master of music degree in conducting.
The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m. July 2 at St. James Catholic Church in Novi.
A reception will be held at 6 p.m. in the Alexandria Ballroom of the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn, Mich.
