Seldon Rea Morris, 84, of Dresden, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.
Services were 11 a.m. Monday at Adams Chapel Baptist Church near Dresden with Bro. Bob Conley and Bro. Larry Reagan officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden.
Mike Nooner, Joe Wayne Farmer, Charles Pettit, Jim Pettit, Hal Adams and Richard Ferrell served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were T. W. Farmer, Lowell Kupfer and James Latta.
Morris was born in Weakley County to the late Aubrey and Beatrice Ruth Adams Morris. He was parts manager for Weakley County Motors in Martin. He was a Navy WWII veteran and a member of Adams Chapel Baptist Church
Survivors include his wife, Leah Davison Morris of Martin; a daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Joeseph King of Hendersonville; a son and daughter-in-law Steven and Lynn Morris of Cary, N.C.; and a granddaughter, Rachel Morris of Knoxville.
