Johnnie Erlin Peacock

Johnnie Erlin Peacock, 100, of Martin, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at North Winona Baptist Church, Winona, Miss. with burial in Milligan Springs Cemetery, Kilmichael, Miss. with Bowlin Funeral Home of Dresden in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Peacock was born in Stewart, Miss., son of the late David Arnold and Isabelle “Belle” Eiland Peacock. He was a self-employed carpenter, a 60-year member of Masonic Lodge in Winona and member of North Winona Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Odessa Hodges Peacock of Martin; one son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Roberta Peacock of Martin; four grandchildren, John Christopher Peacock, Rhonda Lynn Peacock, Kimberly Marie Stahl and Patricia Ann Harris.
He was also preceded in death by one son, David Peacock; four sisters, Dixie Bowers, Henrietta Griffin, Effie Mae Crocker and Willie Lydia Vaughn; and five brothers, Robert Boyd Peacock, Joe Peacock, Yancy Peacock, David Floyd Peacock and Gilbert Peacock.
