Pratt, who resigned from the Cavs’ head coaching position after being named assistant superintendent of Crockett County Schools early this year, will coach the school’s football team for one more season. The former Obion Central assistant takes the job after the hiring and reported resignation of Mac McCurry last month. It is expected that Pratt will hold the reins at CC for just the 2010 campaign. According to published reports, the search for a new Crockett County football coach will resume in December. Pratt built the Cavaliers from the ground up in his stay at the school, taking a winless program to a 125-54 record during his 15 years. His 2001 team finished as the state runner-up.
