Senior Friends to meet

Senior Friends of Cobb’s Chapel United Methodist Church met recently at Autry’s Country Kitchen for good food and fellowship.
Those attending included Jeannine Cranford, who spoke to the group about her recent trip to the Holy Land; Billy Jack Cranford; and Lou Gargus and her daughter, Tonja Cottingham, who spoke about their recent trip to Guatemala. The group was saddened by the sudden and recent death of Mrs. Gargus, who was a long-time member of Senior Friends.
Others attending were Junior Davis, who gave thanks for the meal; Betty Davis; Ilar and Mattie Lou Moran; Maudie Byrd; Anna Mae Muse; Kay Fultz; Kensen Williams; Cy and Etta Harris; Faye Howard; Thelma Miller; Mary K. McKinnis; Thelma Calhoun; Mozelle Flippen; Joan Howard; Al and Arlene Smithson; Virginia Smithson; Clen Reavis; Burnie and Thelma Davis; Aaron Smith; Louise Johnson; and Mary Nichols.
Birthdays were celebrated by Mrs. Byrd and Reavis.
Senior Friends will meet at Autry’s Country Kitchen in Troy at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
