Posted: Wednesday, June 9, 2010 8:01 pm MOTHERS HONORED — Family and close friends, ranging from age 1 to 90, of Linda Albright gathered recently on a sunny afternoon for a tea to celebrate mothers. The occasion brought mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters and grandchildren together. “We very seldom slow down to simply enjoy life,” said Ms. Albright, who planned the event. Tables were decorated with lace cloths and floral napkins. China, which has been passed down through generations, was used. Assorted desserts and fruit tea were served. Those attending included (seated, from left) Cynthia Ingle and Pauline Cherry, both of Troy, Janie Dowland of Union City, Peggy Daniels of Obion, (standing) Linda Albright of Troy, Judy Donnell, Susie Albright and Gracie Ashley, all of Obion, Nelda Rice of RoEllen, Connie Chalker of Troy, Evelyn Albright of Obion, Mary Hayes of Troy and Sharon Allman of Union City. Others family members (not pictured) include Cierra Ingle, Brooke Albright, Marie Atkins and Magen Warner, all of Troy; Melinda Ashley of Obion; Emma Norquist of Union City; Ann Walton of Martin; Mary Lou Smith of Merrillville, Ind.; and Aiyana Cross, Madison Hicks and Joe Westly Atkins.
