|High temperatures may bring out the swimmers, but “Make A Splash: Read” also brings out local readers for the Summer Reading Program at the C.E. Weldon Public Library in Martin. |
Programs for all ages will run from June 7-July 30. There are special programs weekly, such as Shark Tales Storytimes on Thursday, to entice children to get lost in a book during the summer.
Children ages 3-5 will meet at 10 a.m., toddlers under 3 will meet at 10:15 a.m. and children ages 6-10 can bring a sack lunch and meet at noon.
Teens can make waves at the library during Teen Snack Attacks on Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m. Food will be served and pre-registration is required. Dates for Snack Attacks are June 10, June 24, July 8 and July 22.
Adults can water their minds when they bring a sack lunch on Thursday at noon during Lunch-n-Learn. Special guests will sing, play music, entertain and educate adults on topics related to water. Lunch-n-Learn will be June 10-July 29.
There will be weekly and grand prizes for all age groups.
Be sure to pick up a flyer, read a newsletter or visit www.ceweldonlibrary.org for guidelines and schedules.
