Union City police are investigating the apparent theft of furniture from outside a downtown business.
Fantastic Finds owner Shirley Heintz told police she arrived at the store at 1420 South First St. over the weekend to see a truck pulling the furniture on a trailer, according to a Union City Police Department report.
She indicated she thought the truck belonged to her son-in-law and was not aware someone else apparently was stealing the furniture, police reported.
The truck was described as a blue four-wheel drive, which was pulling a black utility trailer, according to the report.
Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to call Union City police at 885-1515 or Crime Stoppers at 885-TIPS (885-8477).
