Agnes Virginia “Ginny” McDaniel, 89, of Woodland Mills died at Obion County Nursing Home June 5, 2010.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eddie Mallonee officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near the Crystal community.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Clint Wilson, Tony Griffin, David Scarbrough, Justin Forrester, Phillip Mathis and Butch Mathis.
The family requests that memorials be made to the building fund at Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson or Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.
She was born June 17, 1920, in Obion County, daughter of the late Esslie and Pattie (Tomlinson) Mathis. She married Hugh Thomas “Tom” McDaniel in 1937. He died Jan. 26, 1991. She was a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Hazel Harris of Jackson; her grandson and his wife, Thomas Brent and Krista Harris of Independence, La.; her great-grandson, Max Tyler Harris of Independence; her nephew, whom she and her husband helped raise, and his wife, Tommy and Sandra Mathis of Woodland Mills; two great nieces and the spouse of one, Harley Brooke and Justin Forrester and Sara Elizabeth Mathis, all of Woodland Mills; her great nephew, Thomas Paul Mathis of Woodland Mills; and her great-great-niece, Gabbi Forrester of Woodland Mills.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Horace Mathis, Howard Mathis, Harry Mathis, Almus Mathis and Esslie Mathis.
