Press 6-3 – Isaac J. Sandefer, 93, of Martin, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at his residence.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at East Side Cemetery in Martin with Rev. Randy Cooper officiating with Murphy Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Sandefer was born July 1, 1916 in Dresden, son of the late Johnnie Harrison and Mary Elizabeth Adkson Sandefer. He was the widower of Bernice Sandefer. He was a World War II United State Army veteran, a retired stockman from Kresge Company and a member of First United Methodist Church, Martin.
Survivors include two nieces, Janice Sandefer Merryman of Martin and June Travis of Marietta, Ga.; and six nephews, Deward Sandefer and James Sandefer, both of Martin, Fred Sandefer of Hopkinsville, Ky., Ronnie Sandefer of Paducah, Ky., Richard Sandefer of Nashville and Randy Sandefer of Ashburn, Va.
