|Friends and family gathered Monday evening and today to say goodbye to local business owner 64-year-old Rick Wilson, who lost his battle with cancer Friday evening in Nashville. |
Wilson is the owner of Cadillac’s Bar and Grill in Martin. He is a decorated Vietnam War veteran.
Wilson was diagnosed with myelofibrosis a couple of years ago and recently underwent a stem cell transplant.
On Friday, Wilson lost his battle with graft-versus-host-disease and pneumonia, a complication of GVHD at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Dresden. Visitation is also planned for 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. today (Tuesday). Services will begin at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) with a burial in Sunset Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to caringbridge.org or the First United Methodist Church of Dresden’s building fund.
