A driver and one passenger were injured Saturday evening in a one-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Bethlehem Road, just south of Morningview Street, in Union City.
Joe White Easley, 24, of 511 West State Line, South Fulton, was northbound on Bethlehem Road about 5:20 p.m. when the 1999 Toyota 4 Runner he was driving ran off the roadway on the right side and struck a dirt embankment. The vehicle apparently spun and landed on its side in a drive at 1220 Bethlehem Road, according to a Union City Police Department report.
Easley, who possibly sustained injury, and one of his two passengers, Rodney Thomas, 16, of 708 Enterprise St., South Fulton, were both taken by ambulance to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City for treatment. Another passenger, Larry D. Alexander, 51, of 107 Poplar Drive, Fulton, also possibly sustained injury but was not transported from the scene by ambulance, according to the report. Charges are pending.
