Union City’s city council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Building courtroom. The agenda includes nominations and/or appointments to the Planning Commission; second readings of ordinances to amend Title 15,
providing for automated traffic signal and speed limit enforcement systems and to amend Title 15 to provide for speed limits in school zones; consideration of bids for tennis court repair and for Industrial Park Elevated Water Tank painting and repair; consideration of a recommendation and authorization for signature of a Tennessee Department of Transportation contract for a pedestrian walkway; consideration of tree trimming bids and an approval of an audit contract for $20,500; and the rescheduling of a council meeting currently set for June 15.
The council will also hear grievances and/or complaints from the public and will receive the mayor’s report.
The meeting is open to the public. Public meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
