A slide show of the Kentucky Oral History Society’s African American Illinois Central Railroad Workers of Fulton, Ky., Project will be presented by Dr. Linda Bradford Friday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Twin Cities Railroad Museum in the South Fulton Municipal Building.
Dr. Bradford’s father was a dining car steward for the railroad and it is a subject of great interest and intensity for her, and one on which she is well-qualified to speak.
The program is planned as a gathering for those who may have been employed by the railroad and their family and friends who have an interest in this unique and interesting “family album” of Fulton railroad history from the 1940s to the present. The event is free and is sponsored by the Twin Cities Railroad Museum.
The community is invited and area residents are encouraged to come early for a free tour of the museum, a spokesman said.
