Top at Pop scramble
is a cluttered place

Poplar Meadows Country Club held its weekly scramble Wednesday with the winning team shooting 8-under par.
The winning team, in a scorecard playoff, included Charles Denaburg, Phillip White, Bruce Moss, Bedford Dunavant, Brian Ferguson and Matt Sanner.
Also shooting 8-under par was the team of Terry Wiseman, Bruce Culver, Matt Russell, Randy Barnes, Mike Revell, Jeff Stone; and the team of Ron Cooper, Portis Tanner, Bart White, Wynn Burnett and Scott Critchlow.
The weekly scramble begins at 5:30 p.m. each week. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. The fee includes dinner.
Anyone interested in participating should call 885-3650 by 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Golf discount books

The American Lung Association is currently selling its “Golf Book” — good for reduced rates at over 500 courses in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and five other states.
Some of the participating courses allow golfers to play one round a month and more than 110 clubs offer unlimited rounds. Over 2,000 discounted rounds are available.
