The first ever “Me and My Superhero” day is set for Saturday, June 12 at the Terry Blake Pavilion behind Shepherd’s Field in Martin. The event is to promote family togetherness and offer a dad’s day out with their children. Superheroes such as Spiderman and Superman will be on hand to sign autographs and take photos with the family. More Superheroes will be announced at a later date. Tickets are $4 per person, with children age 1 and under admitted free. The event is set for 2 to 4 p.m. and will take place just in time for Father’s Day. Concessions will be provided by Rolling Thunder® TN Chapter 6.
Door prize goody baskets will be given away to one lucky child every half hour during the event. Proceeds will benefit all of the volunteers helping with the event. Tickets are available at Movies to Go in Martin as well as the Weakley County Press office in downtown Martin. Bring a camera, bring the children and don’t miss a chance to meet the Superheroes. Contact Sabrina Bates at 332-0710 for additional information.
