Thomas Jerry Leggett Jr. of Cordova recently graduated from the Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis and participated in the commencement ceremony held at Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova.
He is the son of the Rev. Jerry and Brenda Leggett of Union City.
Leggett is a graduate of Union City High School and the Baptist College of Health Sciences, having earned a bachelor of science degree in medical radiography.

Michael E. Tibbs of South Fulton recently graduated from Middle Tennessee State University during the spring commencement ceremony held in Murphy Center on the MTSU campus.
The dual-commencement event featured Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett as the guest speaker for the 9 a.m. ceremony, while James C. Free, president and CEO of the Smith-Free Group, was the featured speaker for the 1 p.m. commencement ceremony.

Adam James Gibson has been named to the Chancellor’s Honor Roll for the spring semester at the University of Mississippi at Oxford, where he is a senior in the School of Engineering.
He is the son of Karen Lamberger and the grandson of Imogene Brawner, both of Union City.

Julianne Marie Lawson, daughter of Homer and Julia Lawson of Union City, recently graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
While attending UT Martin, she maintained Dean’s List status and was a two-year recipient of the Latimer Nursing Scholarship.
She was Student Affairs chairman for her nursing class and a member of the national nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau International, Pi Tau chapter.
She was also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
Miss Lawson will be working as a registered nurse in the area.

Several students from Obion County have earned academic honors at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for the spring term.
The honorees include Katie Donaldson, Caroline Kirkland, Taylor Perryman and Anna White, all of Union City; Tharon Snuggs of Troy; and Bruce Trout of Kenton.
