Miss Starks Lamb to wed Whitten

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Amber Nicole Starks Lamb to Kevin Dale Whitten, both of San Antonio, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Paul and Laurinda Lamb of Newbern and Danny and Teresa Starks of Benton, Ky. She is the granddaughter of Terry and Frances Dick and the late Brooks and Elaine Starks, all of Benton, and the late James T. Jones of Hardin, Ky.
She is a 2005 graduate of Westview High School in Martin and a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work.
She is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and is employed by Davita Dialysis of San Antonio.
The groom-elect is the son of Mitchell and Lee Ann Glisson of South Fulton and Todd and Tina Whitten of Martin. He is the grandson of William and Brenda Smith of South Fulton, Jimmy and Sue Glisson of Pilot Oak, Ky., and Pete and Evelyn Whitten of Union City.
He is a 2003 graduate of South Fulton High School and a 2008 graduate of UTM, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in turf management.
He is a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and is employed by the PGA Tour in San Antonio.
The couple will wed at 4 p.m. June 5 at Central Baptist Church, located at 801 Harrison Road in Martin.
A reception will follow at 7 p.m. at the Pontotoc Community Center, located at 112 East State Line in Fulton.
All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
