Byron Walker Carroll, 69, of Samburg died May 21, 2010, at his home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Samburg Assembly of God, with the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb’s Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at White-Ranson Funeral Home 5-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Southerland, Robert Griffin, Harold D. Riddle, James Hurst, Gene Scurlock and Jackie Scurlock.
He was born June 17, 1940, in Obion County, son of the late Delbert C. and Mary (Gills) Carroll.
He is survived by six nieces, Wanda Baker and Evelyn Chamberlain, both of Union City, Anita Strain and Linda Hurst, both of Obion, Joyce Ferrell of Hornbeak and Tressa Heltsley of Clarksville; six nephews, Gene Scurlock of Hornbeak, Jackie Scurlock of Troy, David Carroll of Obion, Danny Montgomery of Little Rock, Ark., Paul D. Carroll Jr. of California and Kenneth Carroll of Maui, Hawaii; and several great nieces and great nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Scurlock and Jennie Montgomery; and two brothers, H.M. Carroll and Paul Carroll.
