Words from the founding fathers – 5.20.10

Why TARP, Omnibus Bill, Health Care Bill, Taking over bank and car companies, Financial Reform, the EPA’s push for climate change regulations, Copenhagen Accord for Climate Change, Cap and Trade, discrediting the Arizona immigration law, trying to disquiet news organizations, discouraging people from being well-informed, fostering an entitlement mentality, raising taxes, creating hidden taxes, increasing the size and regulation of government, demonizing businesses, talk of taking over the Internet and airways, creating only governmental jobs, calling CEOs of businesses before Congress (as if Congress didn’t have anything to do with the near collapse of our economy) and filling our White House and its associates with those who espouse or openly embrace Communism, Socialism, and Marxism …?  
One word POWER.  It’s like the Golden Rule (Washington style) – The one who has all the gold makes the rules.
We have got to realize that there are people in all government from local to state to federal that are only interested in power.  John Adams wrote (1816) to Thomas Jefferson,  “Power always thinks it has a great soul and vast views beyond the comprehension of the weak; and that it is doing God’s service when it is violating all His laws.”
For years many in Washington have been setting the stage for the big power grab.  Little by little and more recently it hasn’t been so little, they are accumulating power.  Why?  
They feel that they have “vast views beyond the comprehension of the weak”.  Who are the weak?  The American people.  We just don’t know how to take care of ourselves, therefore, the government MUST step in and tell us what to do.  And every time they take more and more of our liberties and freedoms.
How can they do this? It is because they (power grabbers)  “always thinks it has a great soul”. But let’s not forget what Matthew 16:26 says, “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?” We are trying to gain the whole world, and all the while we’re loosing the soul of this country.
I believe that the American public is waking up and realizing that something is wrong. This does not feel right. We are supposed to leave our children and grandchildren something better than we were left. We may not leave them a country that is debt free, that is at peace with the world, where everyone gets what the want, a country that pays your way, that guarantees everyone health care, free college education, and bailouts.
The one thing we can pass on, if we wake up and take back our country is the truth behind these words, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”  
It’s time to stop government from “violating all His (God’s’) laws. We ARE created equal and we ARE endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable right. If we don’t make a huge change we’ll have to explain to our posterity (future generations) why they aren’t able to pursue Life, Liberty, and Happiness. That’s one conversation I don’t want to have.
