Bobby Wills of Green-field, a professional dog trainer and owner of Lone Oak East Kennels, has qualified three dogs for the Super Retriever Series’ Crown Championship, which will be held today through Saturday in Little Rock, Ark. To qualify for the Crown, a team must finish in the Top 3 at one of the SRS Qualifying events during the year. Among the dogs qualifying were Colt 45 II (Colt) owner Paul Wilson of Atwood and Tommy Smith of Henderson. Colt qualified in Stuttgart, Ark. Outlaw Texas Red, owned by Jamey Tankersley of Bells, and Rocket Man to the Moon (Rock), owned by T.J. Leach of Nashville, qualified this last weekend at Music City HRC SRS Club Qualifier. Wills won the Avery Sporting Dog Cup Championship last year with Colt. He actually had four dogs in the Top 5 last weekend with Jason and Ashley Lattus’ dog, Lattus Levi (Levi), finishing fourth. He also finished fifth with Nicky Dunn’s dog, Adam’s Shooting Star (Star). Both from Union City, these dogs are not eligible for the Crown.
