Martha V. Brooks, 69, of South Fulton died May 18, 2010, at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with burial following in Sandy Branch Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 8 a.m. until the hour of services.
She was born Dec. 28, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Mich., daughter of the late Clifton and Elena (Kilabrew) Steven.
She was the widow of Danny Edward Brooks and had lived in Obion County most of her life. She was a Baptist and had been a seamstress at Fisher’s in Michigan. She had also been a bartender at Dot’s in South Fulton and the Lake Club in Samburg. She was a quilter and had also made handcrafted American Indian jewelry.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen Dale and Mary Caksackkar, Tommy Lynn and Mary Caksackkar and Anthony Wayne and Meridith Caksackkar, all of South Fulton, and Richard Alan and Lori Caksackkar of Hornbeak; her daughter, Marlena Noel Caksackkar of South Fulton; her sister, Shirley Glover of South Fulton; and 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Fry.
