Completed arrangements are being announced for Charon Lanore Short, 62, Union City, who died 3:25 p.m. May 15, 2010, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home, with Dr. Melvin Poe officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Short, Rich Short, Tony Swift, David Kirk, Jessie Hanks and Paul Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Never Alone Group.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City and of Al-Anon and had been a cook at Union City Manor Nursing Home for 19 years.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Short, whom she married March 15, 1971; two sons, Jimmy Short of Hornbeak and Richard Short of Portage, Ind.; her brother, Walter Anderson of Mora, Minn.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Short and Kevin Short; and two brothers, David Anderson and Alvin Anderson.
