UTM softballers
left out of NCAAs

The UT Martin softball team’s winningest season in history came to a close earlier than anticipated when the Skyhawks failed to hear their name called during the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Sunday night.
The Ohio Valley Conference regular season champion Skyhawks were upset 10-1 in the OVC Tournament title game by Jacksonville State, which earned the league’s bid.
UTM, 47-11 with more wins than 60 of the 64 teams in the field, was not granted an at-large bid for the NCAA Tournament.
In other Skyhawk softball team news, Megan Van Arsdale, Laurie Lindow and Kate Vanderham were all named to the OVC All-Tournament team.
