Jon S. Caldwell, 52, of Hendersonville, brother of Janie Alexander of Union City and a former resident of this area, died May 11, 2010, at his home.
A memorial service is planned for noon Saturday at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends there from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
The family requests that memorials be made to Sumner County Humane Society.
He was born May 21, 1957, in Obion County, son of the late William “Billy” Caldwell and the late Edith Walker. He had been married to Susan Caldwell for 25 years. She survives. He was a registered nurse at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee nursing program.
Survivors also include three daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Lowry Caldwell, Amy and Brian Webb and Emily and Allen Caldwell, all of Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Angie Webb, Brandon Webb, Bryson Webb and Chandler Caldwell, all of Hendersonville; two other sisters and three brothers-in-law, Judy and Gerald Beachum of Lugoff, S.C., Joyce and Ted Johnson of Newbern and Roger Alexander of Union City; five nephews, Doug Beachum of Charleston, S.C., Mark Beachum of Aiken, S.C., Tyler Alexander and Ryan Alexander, both of Atlanta, and Brian Buchanan of Newbern; his niece, Whitney Hill of Newbern; and his uncle, Bobby Caldwell of Fulton.
