World Bible School/Missions Sunday will be celebrated Sunday at Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City.
John Reese, president of World Bible School of Austin, Texas, will preach during the 9 a.m. worship hour and present the WBS story during the 10:30 a.m. class time. A potluck meal will follow.
The public is invited.
Reese will also speak at Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Reese, a native of Zimbabwe, earned a bachelor’s degree from Harding University, then a master’s degree in education.
Exchange Street has used the WBS correspondence courses since 1989 as part of their evangelistic mission outreach. Local members grade Bible lessons from students around the world, as well Obion County.
World Bible School is a Bible correspondence course with over 2 million students in every nation on the globe. Thousands of volunteer Christians serve as teachers, sharing Jesus through printed and Web-based Bible lessons. Over 26,000 WBS students request baptism each year. Just $1 donated to WBS lets one soul study the Bible.
