Spring revival set
Lake Road Baptist Church will be holding a spring revival Sunday through Wednesday.
The Rev. Cody Pritchard will be bringing the message, and worship music from the piano will be provided by Richard Brooks. 
Services will begin at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday.
 On Monday through Wednesday evenings, everyone is invited to join the church family at 6 for supper before the revival meeting at 7. 
The church is located at 1366 East Highway 22, just outside Union City.

To celebrate anniversary
The United Church of the Living God, located at 609 Martin Luther King Drive in Fulton, will host an anniversary celebration for Bishop Gussie Clifton Sunday at 3 p.m.
Special guest will be the co-pastor of Greater Deliverance Ministries in Fulton, Pearlie Hardin.
Elder Margaret Pettigrew is pastor and co-pastor is Elder Betty Gordon

Decoration Day set
at Stovall Cemetery
Decoration Day at Stovall Cemetery near Rives will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Dr. Bobby Williams will be the speaker and all those with an interest in the cemetery are invited to attend.
Contributions for cemetery maintenance may be mailed to Janice Harris James at P.O. Box 48, Rives, TN 38253.
Donations to the perpetual fund may be sent to Beauton Bowers at 2215 Old Rives Road, Union City, TN 38261.

Fremont meeting set
The annual Fremont Cemetery Association will meet Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Fremont church building.
All members are encouraged to attend, a spokesman said.
Donations for cemetery upkeep may be mailed to Jana Covington, association secretary, at 460 Freeman Store Road, Union City, TN 38261.

Gospel music event set
There will be a benefit gospel music program for Harold and Mary Craven May 21 at 7 p.m. at Spring Bayou Baptist Church in Kevil, Ky.
The Cravens were severely injured in a car accident recently. Singing will be The Moreheads and Eric Horner.

Dinner theater planned
“Uncle Phil’s Diner,” an interactive “fabulous 50s” dinner theater, will be presented by the youth department of Calvary Baptist Church May 22 at 6 p.m. and May 23 at 12:30 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. 
The menu includes “gourmet” hamburgers, “fabulous” fries, “refreshing” soft drinks and “delicious” ice cream sundaes, a spokesman said.   
Tickets may be obtained from any one of the youth of the church or from the church office for a $10 donation per person.

Thomas to speak
Tanya Thomas will be guest speaker Sunday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul AME Church in South Fulton for the Women’s Day celebration.
Women from the community are invited to attend.

Choir musical slated
A children’s choir musical will be staged Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Union City First Baptist Church.
“Down by the Creek Bank” will be directed by Cathy Waggoner, Jennifer Powers, Kelly Wiggins and Gena Burden.
There will be a time of fellowship following the presentation.
The community is invited to attend.

Celebration planned
Shady Grove United Methodist Church near Union City will celebrate homecoming and Decoration Day Sunday, with Sunday school beginning at 9:15 a.m. and worship at 10:30. The Rev. Stan McDaniel of Lexington, former pastor, will be the guest speaker.
A potluck meal will be served at noon and the cemetery association will meet at 1:30 p.m.
Contributions for the cemetery upkeep may be mailed to Mrs. Greg (Kay) Bransford at 3221 Section Line Road, Union City, TN 38261.
The Rev. Kenny Locke is pastor.

Association to meet
The Old Republican Cemetery Association on Highway 22 East near Union City will host Decoration Day Sunday.
A business meeting is planned at 2 p.m. at Woodland Mills First Baptist Church in the tea room.
Checks for the perpetual fund or cemetery upkeep may be made payable to Old Republican Cemetery Association and mailed to Sylvia Williams, 980 West Highway 22, Union City, TN 38261; or Johnny Martin, 675 West Highway 22, Union City, TN 38261.

Last celebration set
The final homecoming and Decoration Day services will be held at New Chapel United Methodist Church and Elbridge Cemetery Sunday.
The church will be closed soon.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Walt Asher bringing the message. Special music will be provided by the Graves Family.
A brief history of the 158-year-old church will be provided.
All who are interested in the church and the cemetery are invited to attend, a spokesman said.

Revival to begin
Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 880 Beech Chapel Road near Union City, will begin revival services Sunday at 5 p.m.
Services will continue through Wednesday at 7 weeknights.
The Rev. Ronnie Pittenger will be the evangelist.
Dr. Bobby Williams is pastor and the community is invited to attend and enjoy the special music each evening.

Celebrations slated
The Gospel Golden Airs of Union City will be celebrating 31/2 years of singing with two special events. The first will be Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist church at 227 Chestnut St. in Sharon.
The Rev. E.R. Coleman and the congregation invite the community to attend and enjoy singing by eight gospel groups that evening.
On Sunday, nine groups will be in concert at the Casey-Johnson Community Center on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Union City at 7 p.m.
Elder Melvin Pinson and Rejoice of Tupelo, Miss., will be featured.
Fish plates will be offered for sale at both services.
The community is invited to take part in the raffle for a DVD player, a digital camera and $50 in cash. Tickets are $1.

Dills to sing
The Dills will be in concert Sunday at 6 p.m. at Union City Second Baptist Church at 831 Everett Blvd.
A love offering will be accepted.
The Rev. Eddie Mallonee and the congregation invite the community to attend.
