Charlie Etheridge, 67, of Eads died May 11, 2010, at Methodist Hospital in Germantown. He was the brother of Dolly Johnson of Kenton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Germantown Parkway Chapel of Memphis Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Zion Cemetery in Cloverdale. The family will receive friends this evening from 5-8 at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial gifts be made to First Baptist Church in Hickory Withe.
He was born Jan. 20, 1943, in Troy, son of the late Charles Odell and Mildred (Flowers) Etheridge. He had been married to the former Betty Hale for 50 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hickory Withe, the 100 Hunting Club and the Eads Community Club.
He is also survived by two daughters, Tamra (Etheridge) Wenger of Longview, Texas, and Tamara (Etheridge) Carter of Oakland; his twin sister, Charlene Dudley of Dyersburg; and six grandchildren, Jarhett Charles Etheridge Wenger, Whitney Wenger, Skylar Wenger, Madison Wenger, Drew Carter and Karianna Carter.
