Brooksie Royster Reed

Mrs. Brooksie Faye Royster Reed, 78, of Martin, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Jackson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Martin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Edward Thurman, Steven Thurman, Troy Wiedenbach, Terry Thurman, Kevin Rogers and A. V. Nunley will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Reed was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Sidney T. and Beulah Ethlene Tidwell Royster. She was the widow of Sam Reed. She was a homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, James and Brenda Reed and Jimmy Hazlewood, all of Martin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Winston Thurman, Cathy and Harry Litten, all of Martin; two brothers, Dale Royster of Martin and James Royster of Dresden; four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Royster and Joseph Royster; and two sisters, Tommie Eaves and Joy Workman.
