Miss Johnson to wed Grooms on June 12

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Joy Johnson of Southaven, Miss., and Russell Grooms of Horn Lake, Miss., are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Johnson of Samburg and Wanda Williams of Southaven. Her grandparents are the late Johnnie E. and Elizabeth Johnson of Troy, the late Dorothy Grider of Puryear and Bill and Sue Williams of Crutchfield, Ky.
She is a 1991 graduate of Obion County Central High School. She attended Tennessee Technology Center in 1991 and 1992, earning a certificate in file clerk and receptionist.
She is employed as a new patient and credentialing specialist at MidSouth Pain Treatment Center in Southaven.
The groom-elect is the son of the late Dick Grooms and the late Barbara Grooms. His grandparents are the late Enoch Jefferson “Pea Joe” Ivy and the late Johnnie Lucretia Ivy of Sarah, Miss., and the late Robert and Lucille Grooms of Horn Lake.
He is a 1986 graduate of Horn Lake High School.
He is employed as a machine operator at Norkol Corp.
The couple will wed during a private ceremony June 12 at the home of Bobby and Gail Johnson on Reelfoot Lake. Music will begin at 6 p.m.
Invitations are being sent.
A reception will be held at a later date.
