Completed arrangements are being announced for Thomas Ray Easterwood, 74, of Hornbeak, who died May 8, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ruth Green officiating. Burial will follow in Hornbeak City Cemetery with full military rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born June 15, 1935, in Obion County, son of the late Joseph Dee and Lucille (Neely) Easterwood. He married the former Brenda Goff in September 1977. She survives. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of 11 years and was a mechanic for the Tennessee National Guard for 20 years. He had also been employed by the Obion County Sheriff’s Department for eight years. He was a member of Hornbeak Baptist Church.
Survivors also include his daughter, Deania Duke Williams of Lakeland; his son, Mac Easterwood of Hornbeak; three sisters, Pat Murray of Atoka, Annie Ledford of Union City and Rose Harrington of San Antonio; five brothers, Gary Easterwood and Bobby Easterwood, both of Hornbeak, Don Easterwood of Spring Hill, Luther Easterwood of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Steve Easterwood of Scotland; and several nieces and nephews.
