Completed arrangements are being announced for Joseph William “Joe” Fry, 63, of Union City, who died 7:05 a.m. May 9, 2010, at his home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The Rev. James Marcus and Archie Corder will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Jason Marcus, Ted Stephens, Teddy Stephens, Jonathan Elam, Archie Corder and Gwin Wood.
He was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Memphis, son of the late Robert DeWitt and Thelma Frances (Flippo) Fry. He married the former Shirley Miller Dec. 24, 2003. She survives. He was a retired maintenance employee with the Union City School System and had served in the U.S. Army.
He is also survived by two daughters and his son-in-law, Carroll and Jonathan Elam of Union City and Katie Fry of Conway, Ark.; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Lana and Jason Marcus of Bradford and Amy and Ted Stephens of Cleburne, Texas; his sister and brother-in-law, Carroll and Archie Corder of Metairie, La.; and five grandchildren, Nathan Marcus, Talen Marcus and Lacey Marcus all of Bradford, and Emily Stephens and Teddy Stephens, both of Cleburne.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Lawrence Fry.
