The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jere and Nellie Pence of Greenfield and the late Connie and Orpha White of Sidonia. Kristy is a 2005 graduate of Westview High School in Martin and a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in English literature. She is currently employed with the Stars and Stripes Newspaper’s Advertising Department in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The groom-elect is the grandson of Patrick and Mary Jean Reilly of Fripp Island, S.C. and Richard and Jan Carl of Plano, Texas and the late Barbara Carl. Kegan is a 2004 graduate of Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Ariz., and a 2008 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., where he played Division 1 soccer and graduated with honors in mathematical sciences. He is currently serving in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant and is stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The wedding will be held on May 22 at Dara’s Garden in Knoxville. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. with music beginning at 5 p.m. The reception to follow will be also be held on the grounds of Dara’s Garden. Following their marriage, the couple will return to their home in Otterbach, Germany in anticipation of their honeymoon to the Indian Ocean Island of Mauritius.
