Completed arrangements are being announced for Forest Richard Hollan, 88, of Mayfield, Ky., who died May 5, 2010, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. He was the father of Ricki Edmison of Union City.
Graveside services, with full military rights, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hollan Cemetery on Highway 58 East in Graves County, Ky. The Rev. C.W. Jackson will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Edmison, Brandon Mayo, T.J. Alexander, Dale Beach, Jackie Felts and James Felts Jr.
Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Graves County, son of the late Arthur Bryant “Debo” and Essie (Haley) Hollan. He was married to the former Sara Janette Alexander, who survives.
A member of New Home Baptist Church in Graves County, he was a member of Mayfield Masonic Lodge No. 369 and a 50-year member of Millwright Local 1080. He was also a World War II U.S. Army veteran who obtained the rank of sergeant with a specialty in anti-aircraft artillery.
Survivors also include another daughter, Janice Hollan of Mayfield; his son-in-law, Kelly Edmison of Union City; four grandchildren, Scott Morrow of Cincinnati, Betsy Nevil of South Fulton, Susan Mayo of Union City and Micah Edmison of Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon Mayo and Brittany Mayo, both of Union City, Mallory Mayo of Fulton, A.J. Nevil and Landon Nevil, both of South Fulton, Dylan Morrow of Cincinnati and Lexie Edmison of Martin; three great-great-grandchildren, McKenzie Mayo and Caleb Mayo, both of Fulton, and Drake Hayes of Union City; and his brother, James Thomas Holland of Mayfield.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Gerline Beach.
