Domestic Violence Program

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM — PSEPP (Personal Safety Empowerment Partnership Project) partnered with Phi Beta Sigma to help kick off “Wal;k a Mile for Domestic Violence” on the University of Tennessee Martin campus. April Allen Kayser’s family attended and was presented a poem written by Natalie Boyd, PSEPP Director and a music box and Bible in her memory. Kayzer was a victim of domestic violence in 2008. Both PSEPP and Phi Beta Sigma along with UTM students then took a walk around the UTM Quad to help walk out domestic violence. Speakers on hand for this program were Chancellor Tom Rakes and Martin City Mayor Randy Brundige along with a song by Mrs. Mykia Campbell and prayer by Rev. Alvin J. Summers.
