LADY REBEL HOOP STANDOUTS — More than two months after their 2009-10 season ended, the Obion Central girls’ basketball team was honored at a banquet Tuesday night at the school. Among those receiving individual accolades were (sitting, from left) Tristen Terry, most charges taken; Macy Wright, most steals and hustle award; Laurie Craddock, Sixth Man Award; Oliva Grady, best defense; (standing, from left) Chassidy Fussell, MVP, most rebounds, most assists, leading scorer; Katie Pate, best offense; Brandi Goodman, most improved. The Lady Rebels finished the season at 27-6 and were the only team to defeat two-time state champion Gibson County over the past two years, breaking the Pioneers’ 55-game winning streak in January. Central was a win short of the sectional portion of the postseason.
