Isham Gregory “Ike” Long, 59, of Hornbeak died May 5, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Memorial services will be announced Thursday by White-Ranson Funeral Home.
He was born July 24, 1950, in Northfield, Mich., son of the late Hertle Long and the late Jewell (Cook) Long Dodd. He married the former Tricia Sullivan Sept. 21, 2003. She survives. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of River of Life Church of God in Dresden.
Survivors also include his daughter, Mollie Jewell Long of Hornbeak; two stepdaughters, Adrienne Shell and Angie Jernigan, both of Union City; two stepsons, Bill Mills and Mike Mills, both of Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jordan Martin, Peyton Cooley, Skylar Shell and Jonathon Shell, all of Union City; two sisters, Cindy Mangold of Michigan City, Ind., and Lorrie Shei of Westville, Ind.; his brother, Ernie Dodd of Chesterton, Ind.; and five nephews and four nieces, all of Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Rudy Dodd; and his grandparents, Oscar and Mary Ruth Cook.
