Summers’ artistic work on display at Ice House

The Ice House Gallery in Mayfield, Ky., will display the work of Paducah, Ky., native Michael Summers Wednesday through May 29.
Summers specializes in realistic pencil drawings and works primarily in graphite, producing near-photographic images.  His subject matter ranges from well-known regional landmarks in Paducah and Murray, Ky., to a variety of portraits. He attended Murray State University, with an area in fine arts and an emphasis in drawing. He continues to pursue his art, working free-lance, painting murals and decorative art as well as taking commissions for portraiture. His adept draftsmanship has earned him many first-place drawing awards in area competitions.
A reception to meet the artist will be held Friday from 6-7:30 p.m.
