Clara Ruth Tuck

Mrs. Clara Ruth Tuck, 95, of Dresden, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Volunteer Community Hospital, Martin.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don McCulley officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery, Gleason.
Grandsons, David Tuck, J. J. Phelps, Jared Spain, Alan Tuck, Warren Smith and Robbie Smith served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters, Jackie Arthur, Daphne Spain, Alana Tuck and Lisa Floyd.
Mrs. Tuck was born in Dresden, daughter of the late Tillman James and Ada Mae Reagan Johnson. She was the widow of Sanford Earl tuck. She was a nurse’s aide at Hillview Nursing Home, a housewife and member of First Baptist Church in Gleason.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Jim Phelps of Gleason, Carolyn and James Clark of Cornelia, Ga.; one son, Joe Tuck of Dresden; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Billy Ray Tuck; four sisters; one brother; and one grandchild.
