William Frank “Yogie” Goodman, 74, of Martin and McKenzie, originally of the Crystal community, died April 28, 2010, at his home in McKenzie.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troy, with Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at White-Ranson Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Randall Pollard, William Holt, Nick Morrison, Zack Jones, Josh Ross, Justin Ross and Brandon Goodman.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
He was born July 11, 1935, son of the late Samuel David and Lois Goodman. He had worked for Fulton County Grain Co. for 27 years and had been employed at the former Cultra Sod Farms in Obion County. He was preceded in death by his common-law wife, Louise Morris, who died in 2005.
Survivors include six daughters, Trish Powell of Fulton, Marilyn Johnson of Obion, Beverly Pollard of Martin and Margaret Richard, Carol Watts and Amie Stairs, all of South Fulton; his son, Kenneth Ross of Union City; three sisters, Bonnie Seymore of Alabama, Betty Beckle of Pennsylvania and Joanne Carr of Union City; two brothers, Robert Goodman of Union City and Bill Goodman of Texas; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Willard Goodman.
