The Fulton City pitching staff issued 13 free passes as the Redmen scored all of their runs in the first two innings of a 15-1 five-inning triumph.
Meanwhile, the Union City softball team was twice a victor for the second consecutive afternoon, sweeping both games of a doubleheader against Lake County.
The Lady Twisters blanked LC 5-0 in Game 1 and routed the opposition 12-1 in the second contest.
Today’s prep slate has the Central baseball team hosting Ripley at 6:30 and the Lady Rebel softball team at Dyersburg for a 4:30 contest.
SF 15, Fulton City 1
The Red Devils (9-16-1) scored nine runs in the first inning and six in the second to coast on Wednesday.
Ryan Prince was a perfect 3-for-3 with a triple, two singles and two RBI.
Caleb Turner drove in a pair and scored twice for South Fulton.
Otherwise, Jonathan Clouse, Kyle Clouse, Josh Clement and Harrison Hawks each accounted for two Red Devil runs.
Chance Hamlin had an RBI single, while Lane Archie also offered a safety.
On the mound, Kendall Greer tossed the first three innings and struck out six en route to the pitching win. Curtis Cathey came on for the fourth and fifth innings.
SF hosts Gleason on Friday at 5.
UC 5, 12, LC 0-1
Karly Hollis struck out 13 (seven in Game 1, six in the second game) and gained a pair of mound triumphs on Wednesday.
All totaled, the Lady Falcons got just two hits off of Hollis. Both of those hits came in the first game.
Katie Hawks relieved Hollis in Game 2, striking out a pair and finishing the no-hitter.
Olivia Arnold singled and drove in a pair during the first game, while Taylor Hargrove and Allison Bruff each had an RBI in said contest.
In Game 2, Hannah Jackson knocked a two-run home run, while Bruff and Hollis both had two RBI.
Arnold had two singles, a double and one run driven in during the second game as did Paige Fisher.
The Lady Twisters (15-12) return to action on Monday at home against Trenton.
