Roy W. Williams, 78, of Wingo, Ky., died 11:05 p.m. April 26, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Services will be 9 a.m. Monday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Greg Hussey officiating. Burial will follow in Mounds City National Cemetery in Illinois.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-7 p.m. Sunday and on Monday from 8 a.m. until the hour of services.
He was born June 7, 1931, in Hickman County, Ky., son of the late Andrew Williams Rolla and Lauretta (Willingham) Anthony. He was married to Janet (Thomas) Williams, who survives.
He was a retired master sergeant, with 21 years of service, who saw duty in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and Vietnam. Following his military retirement, he worked for Chevron Oil Co. as a research technician.
He had lived in Vallejo, Calif., and in Hickman County, Ky., and had been a member of East Bay Blazer Bowlers in Biola, Calif., and the National Bowling Association and the Pacesetter Bowlers, both in Paducah.
He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Bridget Walker of Fulton; three sons, Paul Williams of Indianapolis and Wendell Williams and Barton Williams, both of Biola; and 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Russell Williams.
