SOARING WITH THE EAGLES
Obion County Central softball standout Olivia Grady (sitting, middle) recently signed a scholarship to continue her playing career at Lambuth University in Jackson. Grady, a three-year starter on the infield for the Lady Rebels, has been a solid all-around player during her prep career and leads OC in hitting this season with a batting average of better than .400. Her athletic career at Obion Central continues a family tradition as her grandfather, Jerry, played both baseball and basketball; her mother, Laurie, played hoops at Central; and her her father, Mike, was a quarterback and centerfielder for the Rebels. Olivia’s  brother, Garrett, was a football standout and also a baseball player at OC. On hand to celebrate Grady’s signing was (sitting, from left) her mother, Laurie, and her dad, Mike,  — who is also an Obion Central assistant softball coach — (standing from left) OCCHS assistant principal Craig Rogers and Lady Rebel head coach, athletics director and assistant principal Tommy Victory.
