Anchor House Celebrates 10 years of service Posted: Thursday, April 29, 2010 9:07 pm On behalf of the Board of Directors and its clients, a very special thank you is sent for your interest and support to Anchor House both in the past and in the future. They are very grateful! Anchor House is a transitional living facility for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts for the Northwest Tennessee area. Anchor House is a non-profit organization and exist solely by community support. All donations are tax deductible. Upcoming events include a bake sale beginning at 8 a.m., Saturday, May 8 at Union City Wal-Mart and a board meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 16. Anchor House is actively looking for caring and concerned individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors. Needs include underpinning (180×5 ft.), air conditioning and duct work on the existing unit, roofing materials, materials for the steps and porch on the home, lawn mower, twin beds, towels, wash cloths, queen-sized bed linens and help with utilities and van repairs.
