Goodyear Wingfoot Retiree Club is completely underwriting the expenses for a Hometown Walk of Hope fund raiser that will assist local cancer patients. The club’s effort is being made so that all funds raised by the variety music show, set for Saturday night at the Union City Civic Auditorium, may go to the work of Obion County Cancer Agency, which is supported in large measure by the annual Hometown Walk of Hope effort.
Doors will open at 6:30 and the program will begin at 7, featuring local talent such as country-singing Jamie Worrell, Ed Tittle singing favorites from Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Sam Stephens showcasing the late Jim Reeves in song and the Bethel College Bluegrass group.
Also appearing will be Barry Keathley, Bryan Keathley, J.T. Jones, Marcia Malin, Chuck Doss and a finale with Allyson Butner, as well as a surprise guest singing favorites from the 1950s and ’60s.
Barry Keathley will be master of ceremonies for the evening.
Tickets are on sale in advance for $10 at Health Quest, Five Seasons Men’s Shop, Lanzer’s Printing and Office Supplies and Buddy’s Wrecker Service. They will also be on sale at the door.
The community is invited to support this effort to assist friends and neighbors and to enjoy excellent entertainment with a local flavor.
