Anchor House Inc. is celebrating 10 years of service to the community as a transitional living facility for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts in northwest Tennessee. The board of directors will sponsor a fund-raising bake sale for the non-profit organization May 8 at 8 a.m. at Union City’s Walmart.
A board meeting is planned for 3 p.m. May 16 at the facility. Those interested in serving on the board are invited to attend. For information, call 885-2439, (731) 363-2778 or 885-8776.
The facility is in need of underpinning for a space 180-foot by 5-foot, air conditioning and duct work on the existing unit, roofing materials, materials for the steps and porch of the home, a lawn mower, twin beds, queen-sized bed linens and bath linens, washing and dishwashing supplies and assistance with utilities and van repairs.
