Athlete physicals
set for UC hopefuls

Health physicals will be given to all Union City Middle School and High School student-athletes that plan to participate in a sport or cheerleading during the upcoming 2010-2011 school year Saturday.
High school students need to report to the gym for the health physical at 8 a.m.
Next year’s middle school students need to report at 9:30 to the gymnasium for their check-ups.

LR changes include
softball, girls’ hoops

Lake Road has ann-ounced a pair of coaching changes within its junior high sports programs for the 2010-2011 athletic seasons.
Maddie Carrington, who prepped at South Fulton, will be leading the Lady Generals’ softball team as its new head coach.
Meanwhile, Emily McGee, who played on the high school level at Obion Central, is set to take over the reigns as the Lake Road girls’ basketball coach.
Both Carrington and McGee suceed Kenthia Revell, who previously held the softball and girls’ basketball posts at Lake Road.
Revell is also a product of the Obion County School System, having played basketball and ran cross country at Obion Central.
