LBL seeking trail volunteers

GOLDEN POND, Ky. (AP) — Land Between the Lakes is seeking volunteers for trail building.
The National Forest Service needs volunteers to clear a corridor to reroute a trail near the Gray Cemetery on Saturday, May 8. The cemetery is two miles west of The Trace on Road 130.
Volunteers need to wear sturdy work boots, work gloves and eye protection and bring water and a lunch. LBL will provide tools, hard hats and insect repellent.
Volunteers are asked to preregister by calling (270) 924-2007.
The 170,000-acre national recreation area lies between Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake in Kentucky and Tennessee. It offers more than 100 miles of trails for hikers and bike riders.
