The Red Devils, who committed a total of six errors, banged out 11 hits in their 8-4 besting of Carlisle County.
Other action on Friday had Obion Central an 11-7 loser to Halls.
Union City’s Friday outing with Hickman County was taken off the slate due to the threat of inclement weather in the area.
Today’s slate has Union City at South Fulton. OC hosts Gleason at 6:30.
SF 8, Carlisle Co. 5
Winning pitcher Chance Hamlin went the distance, allowing just five hits and none of the runs charged to him were earned on Friday.
Josh Clement was 2-for-3 with a single, double, three RBI and two runs scored.
SF’s Kyle Clouse was also 2-for-3 with two runs and one ribbie.
Caleb Turner was a perfect 2-for-2, while Hamlin had a two-run single.
Ryan Prince and Sam Curtis both had two hits and a run for SF (7-15-1).
Halls 11, OC 7
The Tigers scored seven runs in the first off starting pitcher Nathan Ashley — who failed to retire a hitter — and Dustin Smyth.
Brady York gave an admirable effort in relief, tossing six innings and allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk.
Ethan Davis and Patrick Haskins both drove in a pair for the Rebels (13-20).
Blake Walton (2-for-5) and Smyth (2-for-3) both doubled, scored twice and drove in one.
Tanner Cary, who was 2-for-4 on the day, crossed the pay station once as did both Colton Woodward and Davis.
